In the Archives: Constructing Centenary
Lately, one of Centenary’s most iconic buildings has received extra attention. Mickle Hall of Science is slated for renovations and an addition. As a result, architects have visited the Centenary Archives to examine the structure’s original blueprints. Meanwhile, administrators and faculty have been meeting to discuss future plans for the building.
All this activity brings to mind the College’s past construction and renovation projects, many of which are heavily documented in the archives. From our collections, here is a sample of photographs of such projects and information about the buildings’ namesakes.
